Since the creation of Royal Salute in 1953, only four men have had the expertise worthy of becoming the Master Blender and each has put aside his finest whiskies. For the first time, these most precious whiskies have been married together to create this ultimate blend. The youngest of these is matured for at least 40 years and the final blend is bottled in exquisite handcrafted crystal decanters which are the result of 40 hours of fine craftsmanship each.
 
The nose is exceptionally rich. Lavish swirls of ripe plums make merry with a sherried sweetness, while fine dark chocolate marries with hints of warm cinnamon.
 
The flavor is powerful, bursting with intense, sweet orange and a deep, nutty, oaky flavor. A faint wisp of smoke gives way to a long, luxurious finish with superlative structure.
